July 2nd 2011, Marsden, Yorkshire
It was over a year in the making, followed months of meticulous planning and weeks of careful checking and rechecking. But at last the event of the year had arrived.
Now some, more traditional, people would argue that the event of the year is the Wedding of Adam and Sarah.
They are of course are wrong!
The big event was the Greatest of all Men delivering the Greatest of all Best Man speeches.
The crowds gathered in anticipation on a brilliantly hot summers day at the equally brilliant Hey Green Country House Hotel.
As with all great performers there were a number of, not insignificant, warm up acts on prior to the main event.
The most important of which was the very modern Wedding Ceremony, complete with two very personal readings made by close friends of the Bride and Groom (though sadly the specially prepared Wedding March didn't want to play)
Photos in the beautiful grounds followed before everyone was seated for the Wedding banquet.
By now the main event was approaching fast but there was still one or two other Weddingy tasks to perform, such as cutting the cake...

But finally the big moment had indeed arrived. So Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome the star of the show, The Best Man, Mr Kevin Roper.
