April 16th 2009, Alton Towers, Staffordshire
With the weather being hot all week and having promised to take Leah and her mate Becky we went to Alton Towers on what turned out to be a cold and dark Thursday.
Spinball Whizzer was up first.
Followed by the vertical drop roller coaster, Oblivion
A short cut through the gardens took longer than we all thought, and was certainly was much steeper than any of us wanted.
Eventually we made it to Air
Then Nemesis, which apparently is some kind of trapped monster from another world that can generate more G-Force than the Space Shuttle (So now you know!)
By now it had started raining so Leah and Becky decided this was the perfect time to buy ponchos and go on the Congo River Rapids
A walk past Hex....
....took us to Rita....
....which launches people from 0 to 60mph in 2.5 seconds.
With Oblivion being the most popular of the rides it seemed only fair to go back and have another go!.
Please note:- Kev did not go on any rides (as usual) cos someone has to take the pictures, otherwise he would have been right there (honest!)
