WSCC 2007 Speed Series Awards Evening.
The rules of the 2007 WSCC Speed Series state that for your points to be counted in the official results at the end of the season you must have Marshalled at least once at one of the tracks during the year. Originally I didn’t take much notice of this as I didn’t expect to do very well.
However its strange how your point of view changes when you are in with a chance of winning something. But by the time Id realised this it was the end of October and the thought of standing in a field hour after hour, watching cars go by, maybe having to wave a red flag if something went wrong all whilst freezing to death in the cold didn’t really appeal if I was honest. So with that in mind I was happy not to have my results officially recorded.
Therefore it was a bit of a surprise to find that despite the above my results were still officially recorded. In fact I was officially recorded as "Third in Class E" in the 2007 WSCC Speed Series and am now the proud owner of a trophy.
Sadly I was unable to collect it in person so Peter (A poor substitute, but a substitute none the less) collected it for me.
